A Fujian session of the Industry-Research Integration technology matchmaking series was recently held to connect university research with local industrial demand. The event focused on intelligent manufacturing and high-end equipment and aimed to deepen collaboration among industry, universities and research organisations.
During the event, Fujian Fuxin Wheel Co., Ltd. and the Quanzhou Huazhong University of Science and Technology Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing signed a cooperation agreement. The two sides will carry out joint technical work on full-process intelligent manufacturing for high-strength forged aluminum wheels. By drawing on the institute's expertise in intelligent equipment, robotics integration and industrial applications, the programme will support faster technology development and stronger product competitiveness at Fuxin Wheel.
Chen Jihong, Chairman of Wuhan Huazhong Numerical Control Co., Ltd., also led a delegation to Fuxin Wheel. Accompanied by Chairman Weng Huajian, the visitors reviewed progress in intelligent operations, lean management and product development. The two sides discussed the application of industrial CNC technology in high-precision wheel manufacturing and expressed their intention to strengthen future cooperation.
The event promoted technical exchange and project cooperation between the Quanzhou HUST Institute and companies in Fujian. Weng Huajian said Fuxin Wheel would use the agreement to accelerate the practical application of research outcomes, advance high-end and intelligent manufacturing, and contribute to high-quality regional development.
